Detectives
in action
“Detectives in action” is a docu-series showing adventures of private detectives from the Detective Agency. If we take into consideration the sense of humor, the level of abstraction, unconventional work methods and specific behaviour, we may say that the series is a Polish docudrama equivalent of the famous A Team series. Detectives work on the strangest cases that their equally strange clients ask them to crack. In fact, those who come to the agency to ask for help are not “normal” people. They are victims of the most improbable and random coincidences, intrigues of incredibly sophisticated and cynical stalkers and their own phobias which, at first glance, qualify them for psychiatric treatment.
The cases that detectives handle are incredibly varied; however, they all share a similar proportion of drama, humor and absurdity. The detectives are pros. At first, they may not seem professional, but they definitely are. Each of them has their own phobias and manias. They also face various life problems. They happen to be moody and sometimes they complain, but at the same time, they are full of energy, strenuous and what is the most important, effective. They tend to advance the most surprising theses and adopt the weirdest techniques to explain the problems. Extraordinary costumes and ideas on how to trick people into something are their basic forensic methods (in the end, they are only private detectives and unlike the police, they do not have any special privileges).
