A docudrama series showing dramatized re-enactments of actual operations and investigations carried out by the Polish law enforcement bodies. It presents sensational stories of well-known crimes, robberies and thefts, as well as the most difficult investigations and operations conducted by the police which ended with capturing the perpetrators. The audience will learn about the victims’ dramatic experience, criminals’ ruthless acts, and different methods of the police’s work. The episode shows how each crime was committed and how the investigators solved each criminal mystery. Dynamic narration full of suspense gradually reveals the detailed sequence of events, and it is full of twists and unexpected complications. The stories filmed in “Criminal Mysteries” include e.g. gang warfare in the Mazowieckie voivodeship, the case of an organised criminal group specialising in TIR lorry thefts and hijacking, famous shooting during the trial of gangsters from the mafia in Jelenia Góra, or the story of a gang of thieves robbing old ladies with the grandparents’ scam method.
