Betrayal
Hot passion, forbidden love and dark interests are an explosive mix that can take down the lives of the characters in the series “Betrayal,” a crime thriller with an excellent cast.
The main character, Julia, is an introverted, hypersensitive artist-photographer, mother of several-year-old Maurice and wife of an ambitious and eager to succeed prosecutor Patrick. When Julia steps out to take a break from the crowd at the opening of her works, she meets Paul. The electrifying first impression makes these two, although they know they may deeply hurt their loved ones, unable to resist the chemistry and the nascent feeling. This is dangerous not only because they can destroy their families. This is because they are unaware of the interrelationships linking them…. Paul is Eliza’s husband and works as a lawyer for her father, influential businessman Hubert, whose shady dealings have been under scrutiny by the prosecutor’s office for years. Knowing nothing about these relationships, Julia and Paul enter into a passionate affair that will not only affect the law enforcement investigation, but most importantly will bring irreversible and unexpected consequences for themselves and their entire families.
“Betrayal” is a remake of the critically and viewer-acclaimed Dutch series “Overspel,” which won the Best TV Drama category of the Nederlands Film Festival.
