The House
of Happiness
“The House of Happiness” isa humorous story of a young married couple, Bartek and Marianna, whose life becomes extraordinarily complicated. They leave the capital, and move to a small village, Zapłotek Kolonia, to make the man’s dream come true and start an ostrich farm. Marianna does not support this idea, but eventually, she decides to give her husband a chance, and they move into a cozy cottage inherited from a grandmother. It will soon turn out that running this untypical business is not the only challenge they will need to face.
Bartek and Marianna would not be able to deal with all the new problems if it was not for the support from their neighbors – Witek and Kaśka. For them, the newcomers are like “city aliens”, but they are willing to help them, and they want to teach them all about village life. They benefit from that as well, as they can learn a lot about technological innovations that the new neighbors have brought with them.
There will be plenty of misunderstandings, curious and nosey neighbors, and even a force majeure event, and all of this will be unfolding in an idyllic countryside setting.
The characters will have to resolve new conflicts every single day. But they will always approach them with a smile on their face and positive energy.
The clash of the two different worlds: the fussy capital, and the simple but colorful countryside, will bring many funny and unexpected adventures. And this is where Bartek and Marianna will have to build their own “Domek na Szczęście” (“House of Happiness”).
Barbara Kurdej-Szatan and Rafał Zawierucha will star as the city couple, and Magdalena Stużyńska-Brauer oraz Robert Wabich will be the ones helping them to understand the rules that operate in Zapłotek Kolonia. The show also stars Olga Bończyk as Bartek’s mother, and Magdalena Smalara as Natalia – a local shopkeeper who runs a tight ship in the neighborhood.
The show was directed by Piot Wereśniak.
